Nine organizations. Over a century of scholarship, service, and sisterhood. And behind every member — a mom who never stopped believing.
What Is the Divine Nine?
The Divine Nine — officially known as the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) — is a collaborative organization of nine historically Black Greek-letter organizations (HBGLOs). Founded in 1930 at Howard University, the NPHC unites five fraternities and four sororities that have shaped American history, culture, and civil rights for over a century.
Together, the Divine Nine count more than 2.5 million members across thousands of chapters worldwide. Their alumni include presidents, Supreme Court justices, Nobel laureates, Olympic champions, and everyday heroes in every community across America.
For the mothers who raised these men and women — the pride is immeasurable. FratMom.com was built to honor that pride.
